Bio
I am a freelance science writer based near Chicago, writing about environmental science, wildlife biology, chemistry, and medicine. I'm especially interested in toxins big and small. I write news stories, features, educational material, and content for infographics.
In 2018, I completed a part-time internship with Deep Look, a video series produced by KQED Public Media in San Francisco. Prior to that, I was an editorial fellow with the magazine Chemical & Engineering News. I graduated from the Science Communication Program at UC Santa Cruz in 2017.
My scientific background is in environmental toxicology, marine biology, and biochemistry. When I'm not writing or reading, I aim to be outdoors, playing music, or practicing photography!
